Joiner’s Mallets

One of the best (or worst) parts about being a woodworker is getting to (having to…) make your own tools. I made these joiner’s mallets out of maple and walnut scraps, and they’ve held up after a few years of use. I gave one to my friend Kyle of Bay Area Custom Furniture as a thank you for the walnut used in the mallet and for getting me into woodworking in the first place. His is still holding up after daily use too.
