Salt Box

My dad saw a post about the Kenji x Leone Salt Cellars, and instead of buying one, he asked me to make one for him. I started by milling down some wood from a tree they had cut down, then I glued up the pieces and struggled with the hinge. The most important request was that it be able to be used with one hand, so it needed a lip under the lid and for the lid to stay open on its own. After much tweaking, this is what I came up with.
